For the first edition of Mother of the Nation Festival in Abu Dhabi, Balich Worldwide Shows commissioned our team to create a lighting scenography for the spectacular opening show.
The show, designed as a 45 minute tribute to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, narrated the inspiring story of her legacy in field, architecture, humanitarian help, orphan care, traditional handcrafting and commemorated her prominent role of a Mother of the Nation.
Based on the theme of the flower petals, Stufish imagined the ambitious set design and large-scale props to recreate realistic including kinetic structures and an impressive 70m wide petal proscenium that was framing the stage. The video content and special effects were ensured by Drop the Spoon.
Our mission was to conceive, design, develop and program lighting atmospheres for each of seven scenes of this show and its unique 2 performances, in front of the prestigious guests and for the TV audience.
In our design we aimed at embracing the audience in most authentic experience thanks to perfect blend of lighting and video projections that closely accompanied the story, sumptuous settings and live performances.
