We were commissioned by the Mayor of the City of Astana to deliver a made to measure sound & light spectacle for the festivities of Nauryz.
Two different shows displayed the dynamic illumination of 98 golden pillars with cut outs in form of traditional Kazakh ornaments and narrow beam lights at their tops, along with 32 moving lights around the Bayterek tower.
The installation had both day & night appearances and played with dynamic light and a mix of classical & Kazakh musical pieces, forming the emblem of the capital and reminding of the year of its foundation. The ecological factor was also taken into consideration: the power consumption of the 98 beam lights was of only 198 watts and the maximum consumption of the LEDs strips did not exceed 120 watts per column.
