For the 2014-2015 edition of “Plaisirs d’Hiver” in Brussels Grand Place Illumination, we were invited to create a brand new sound and light show.

After having enlightened “Electrabel Nights” 2007, 2009 and 2011, we imagined a new visual & lighting scenography which was inaugurated on November 28th, 2014. On this occasion we took over the perennial installation consisting of LED strips spotlights highlighting the Grand-Place, architectural heritage recognized by UNESCO, for an impressionist show evoking the passing of seasons and arrival of Christmas in this exceptional setting.

Our creative concept is inspired by the seasons, their importance and graceful beauty in urban environment. The majestic Brussels Grand Place Illumination transforms, as the leaves lay golden on the ground before whirling in the autumnal wind. Winter slowly arrives, bringing along the spirit of Christmas with a mixture of images, sensations, perfumes and colors. Golden glitter shines, transforming Brussels in a living light sculpture. The time twirls before us and passes to the rhythm of the Advent calendar. The façades around the Grand-Place come to life and share this effervescence of impressions day after day, accompanying us throughout the festive season with a highly rhythmic and colorful program. A sparkling opening of the Sound & Light spectacle at the Grand-Place will be offered to the public until January 4th, at evening hours from 5:30pm until 10:30pm (every 30min).
