Studio Arne Quinze called upon ACTLD for the creation of Futurotextiel, introducing to a broad audience the versatility and future of the textile industry.
The aim of the exhibition was to emphasize on the importance of scientific research and innovative applications in the textile industry. These were also the main ingredients for several artists, stylists and fashion designers who were asked to create art pieces representing their artistic view on the world of industrial science. The combination of the scientific approach to textile and the art pieces provided a unique atmosphere in the exhibition. The location – an old railway warehouse – provided an extra inherent contrast to nowadays’ textile laboratories. ACT Lighting Design was responsible for the complete lighting design, including specific, made-to-measure lighting systems for each individual piece of art.
