The design intention was to serve all the possible usages of the space as well as to visually and physically connect with the stadium context (the city, the Lakhta Tower and the Flagpole). For this reason, the lighting proposal was foreseen for different typologies of lighting scenarios: match-days, city events, the yearly celebrations, concerts and scenographic facade features to bound with the city. Additionally, the interaction with the stadium users was placed at the center of the design.
